My very first wedding. A perfect location at Eden Gardens in 30a. I was second shooter and worked with the most hands on first shooter I could ask for that day which was amazing. The charming couple allowed space for me to learn and enjoying the journey with us. This video was shot and edited by me.
My first solo wedding. On a two hour notice I was called to fill in for the videographer who had come down with the flu. Me and my solo camera jumped at the opportunity to make sure this couple had their special day documented. I had such a special time with them and won't forget them even thanking me in their wedding speech. The day was authentic and held the friendliest people in it from the bridal party to the fellow photographer to the officiant.
Multiple times at this reception I realized I was dancing and partying alongside the guests. The energy was infectious and had a smile plastered to my face all night. All footage was shot, edited, and colored by me as second shooter alongside such a talented first shooter. Based in Gulf Shores the reception was held at The Port at Zekes which is perfectly set up for a night of dancing and celebrating.
The ceremony portion of the high energy wedding, was breathtaking. I don't think I will ever get over capturing the moment people commit themselves to each other for life. There is a magic in the air the entire day. The wedding was held at St Andrews by the Sea and had me questioning why we aren't all using these gorgeous churches as venues anymore. A beautiful and kind couple to capture and witness their pure joy all day.
This couple was an absolute joy to work with, making my day that much better. I was second shooter so I stuck with the groom in the morning before joining up with the first shooter for first look. All of this footage is my own as the second angle and edited / colored by me. The wedding was at a beautiful church in Gulf Shores followed by a reception at The Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach which was STUNNING and set on the water.
I loved editing this video. Ashlyn found this man .. in the middle of nowhere and pulled a story worth watching out of him. This video really took me back to my editing roots reminding me what it's like to just follow a story without trendy audio, 3 second hooks, and blasting viewers in the face. It also rooted me firmly in long form storytelling is timeless. This video had 35K views within a month. Tell that to the 3 second hooks.
This was the first real video I had the honor of shooting. From idea creation, to storyboard and pre-pro, through filming and all the way through the edit, this was when I really dove into shooting my own things and working with clients directly to craft something meaningful to their brand.
Another awesome opportunity that of course landed during a time when the company was focused on 10 other things, my boss and I joined up with another team to create videos for President Biden for his Earth Day Summit Presentation. We divided and conquered, this video being the one I edited. This was quite an honor and an experience I won't forget seeing our videos play alongside POTUS.
Working on the Corporate team is often viewed as "oh so you did all the lame stuff." That couldn't be further from the truth. We worked on EVERYTHING. One of my favorite yearly edits was working on Puppy Bowl Vignettes telling stories sponsored by Subaru revolving around furry friend adoptions. Edited and colored solely by me.
This is my favorite video I have edited so far. It was during a time when absolutely everyone was busy merging Discovery with Warner Brothers and I was tasked with creating the final video to be sent to all Discovery employees to serve as a "graduation" to Warner Bros. Discovery. I worked fairly solo to create this and love the way it turned out.
